Globe

The Bright Pearl is a sculpture near Victoria's Chinatown with a practical application. It's a giant, stainless steel globe that floats in water. Pedestrians can rotate it fairly easily to view any point on the globe they choose. It also shows distances between Victoria and other world cities. Stiff bristle brushes in the water scrub the surface of the globe as it is rotated, keeping it clean.
