Treeline
Trees at the top of Mt. Washington. My wife and I are re-discovering skiing after decades away from the sport. As an Ontario boy I had never skied real mountains before. This past weekend I wiped out in spectacular fashion not just once but twice. Still, for someone who hasn't been on skis in over four decades, I still call that a win...

Dinosaur
I've previously taken pictures of this eyecatching metal sculpture located beside the highway on the way to Port Alberni. The last time I saw him, he was looking pretty rusty but I see he's received a fresh coat of paint since then.

Mars Attacks!!
Like the similar photo I took a couple of years ago, this one reminds me of the various cinematic and literary versions of War of the Worlds with the Martian machines striding across the countryside spewing death rays.
In reality, these are the cranes overlooking the dockyards of Esquimalt seen from the far side of the harbour.
